Magine is looking for an exceptional Sales Engineer. We are looking for someone who is passionate about digital technology and has a proven track record in digital media within the enterprise platform or managed/cloud services industry.  The candidate must be highly motivated, extremely organized, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding communication skills.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about digital technology and has a proven track record in digital media within the enterprise platform or managed/cloud services industry.  The candidate must be highly motivated, extremely organized, team-oriented, creative, and possess outstanding communication skills.

PURPOSE: 

  • To work alongside the commercial team in acquiring new clients.
  • To build client’s trust in Magine’s technical capability throughout the sales process.
  • To be the link between the client's technical leadership and Magine's product and operations teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop deep knowledge of Magine's core platform and services to architect technical solutions that achieve the client’s business objectives.
  • Serve as the primary technical lead supporting the sales and business development teams across a wide range of sales engagements with ISPs, broadcasters, telcos, sports rights holders, premium content retailers and others.
  • Take ownership of all aspects related to the technical sale of Magine’s platform including technical solution documentation such as proposal documents, presentations and responses to RFIs and RFPs.
  • Deliver technical presentations to prospective clients including demonstrations of Magine’s customers’ services and Magine’s back office systems.
  • Represent Magine at industry conferences and trade events.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Client facing technical sales, with RFI, RFP and Solution Sales Experience.
  • Requirements gathering and scope management - translating and prioritizing client requests. 
  • Working and defining Product Marketing Assets.
  • Creating Technical Enablement Assets & Ways of working to support scaling sales activities.

The following knowledge is also a bonus (if not, don't worry,  if you're a fast learner, you'll be fine):

  • Video Delivery Technology (Encode, Transcode, Storage, DRM, Player Tech).
  • Linear, Live and VOD Media Delivery Workflows.
  • CRM, CMS & Billing Integrations.
  • Understanding of Full Stack Capabilities (Infrastructure/AWS, APIs, Backend and Client Integrations).
  • Product Management Experience.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS or equivalent required (software or business focused desired).
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Experience in a customer facing environment such as technical sales or consulting.
  • Enthusiastic, passionate self-starter.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once.
  • Travel when necessary to meet potential customers.
